I think with TC left to "factory", it starts the session with "1", so maximum effect, no matter whether the car has 0-1 settings only, 0-1-2-3, or 0-1-2-.-12. In flöight sims a must, in racing sims definetly not. Too often I mis-steered the car and ended up against a tree with a head tracker devicde. Their realm ist flight sims, and maybe FPS games/sims. In racing sims, I think head tarfckers do more harm than good. Program "left and right looking" to two keys on the wheel/pad. I earlier years I used to have the ProThrottle unit by CH attached as well, the grip has many buttons that could help to blindly access programmed game functions, but I do not use that anymore. There are also combos that have shifter attached to the wheel base. The shifter is put aside if not used, right onto the PC tower standing on the floor. Wheel gets moutned and unmounted as needed, it is fast and wehen not used just place don the ground beside the desk. The pedals are always under the workdesk I use, they have very nice grip on carpet. I have no fixed hardware setup, too, I use a G27. What you are using as arguments have no backing and are just fabricated accusations.A shifter is not necessary, but in certain cars in AC it is a lot of fun. Have you even bothered reading the thread you are linking to? Or did you just pick it by random hoping nobody would actually check what you are linking to? Tire grip itself is NEVER enough by itself to cause car to roll over no matter how fast you are going: there has to be external cause like a ditch or a rock to have enough difference so that center of gravity is disrupted enough to actually roll the vehicle.Īlso in case of something like P4/5 the ground effect force would be a lot more effect on the grip, ground effect stall is something that was recently added as experimental. Ground surface is most important thing to consider, not just sand which would "suck" car in evenly, but something like rocks that will give 100% stopping at very low position plus you need plenty of force (speed) to actually get that working as leverage to overcome gravity and start rolling over. There is a lot of reasons why a car would or would not flip over. That link you posted? It has NOTHING meaningful for this discussion: it is one person asking something very generic which you assume means something or another. Not sure if driver weight and effect on center of gravity is part of that or included with the mod but that sure as hell has lot more effect than just "tire shoulder grip". There is quite a difference in simulating some value and having meaningful effect from it and for that engine needs data to simulate that. You are simply moaning and complaining nonsense here. Whole of that mod is "for laughs" and not something to judge simulation engine accuracy by. There is a whole lot more things missing in that mod to worry about just tire shoulders, that is not something to blame on AC. Keep in mind that there is a lack of proper grip at the tire shoulders, preventing it from rolling over properly To be clear, those three cars are very fun to drive, and feel very realistic, but I don't know if this is the true experience of driving them, and I don't want to get used to something that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a simulation. So, do you trust modders with the accuracy of their creations? Then I tried the Mazda 787B and happened -more or less- the same situation. But it also beats the hell out of every other car that are, more or less, on the same class. I tried the Ferrari 288 GTO and it's a beast. My first one was the Mazda MX5 Miata, and I think it's very accurate and fun to drive, but the rest, I don't feel like they're correctly adjusted to the simulation. It was a revelation.īut then again, I started trying cars, and I'm not very happy. Specially with made-from-scratch Donington Park by "Brun". All my life I've been avoiding content that's not officialy supported and/or released by the original studio, because I thought it spoils the experience.īut then I tried a couple of tracks for this game and had a good time. It was hard for me to start adding mods to this game.
